heard that figure for years. looking at actual numbers for the German Army casualties during WWII. Total Casualties (KIA,MIA,WIA,POW): 4,188,000. Casualties on the Eastern Front: 3,498,000. Casualties on all other fronts: 690,000. Even if not 9 out of 10, pretty clear that the Russkies did a majority of German killing during the war.
No they didn’t. Factor all the Germans, combatants and non-combatants killed by the 8th. Air Force and the RAF. The Russkies didn’t have a strategic bomber force.
We were talking about losses in the German Army during the war. The Soviets inflicted a higher percentage of casualties on the German Army, then were inflicted on the German Army by the combined forces of the American, British, Canadian and French Armies operating against them in North Africa, Italy and Western Europe.
