interesting. Cylinders are not however the optimum way to generate usable square footage.
Too lazy ;-) to do the price per square foot of occupiable space.
Also, for those of us tall folks ... not the best.
Plumbing, electrical, privacy, security ... blah blah blah.
If ya HAVE to have an underground shelter, it WILL make a quick and easy start.
Right !
It makes sense only for QUICK shelter, provided you have the currency and the tools to move it into the location.
In my youth, I experimented with geodesic domes but found them with too much wasted space.
Conventional furniture and cabinets are not curved, unless specialty and craftsman ordered = too expensive.
Funny you say that - I had a (brief) love affair with geodesic dome homes as well. They are simply too problematic to furnish *and* make efficient use of space within.

Awe inspiring. We tried ONCE to do a RV trip. Husband couldn’t handle the bus view of the bridge rails so we turned around at the Mississippi and sat in an Illinois field for a month watching the soy beans grow. Then VERY SLOWLY drove back east. The RV is still in the driveway and I consider it a house extension.
I want to see Xi living in one of those. Then he and his lovely wife can claim We are the People
