So, did the correct Mr. Wright hurt himself or others? Or was this a cluster all around?
Not that I know of, it was never reported.
“To make up for it, the representative gave him a $50 gift card to Montanas Rib and Chop House”
and then later, a $25 gift card.
They did that so when he takes them to court, they can claim he already accepted compensation and that settled it.
Never take a penny from someone who’s liable for millions of them.
There are several individuals within a ten mile radius of me with the same first and last name, all related but distantly. We go by our middle names to avoid confusion. I hope none of them attract the attention of police or something. They’ve gotten very, very stupid and are in no mood to hear about it.
He needs to receive at least 50 million plus a written apology for this.
Kidnapping, false arrest and imprisonment, libel, medical malpractice, mental anguish, pain and suffering, loss of consort. I’d say they’ll be wise to settle in the low tens of millions.
They had the Wrong Mr. Wright..... how ironic.
Mr. Wright should own the town. The police in question should be terminated and never work as cops again.
I would have said, “why should I fight you, when you’re about to make me a very wealthy man?” That might have caused them to think twice. Or maybe not, considering.
He’s lucky they didn’t lobotomize him.
I about spent a night in jail over something similar, luckily the cop had an open mind and I had witnesses.
That’s exactly how I feel
That’s what I was thinking.
Or they may have just killed him.
“That might have caused them to think twice”.
Unfortunately, government officials and employees don’t have any reason to worry about suffering any personal consequences due to their bad decision making.
If you sue them and win you and your fellow taxpayers will have the privilege of paying the judgement. At the same time they have the luxury of being able to spend unlimited taxpayer money in defending themselves and in many cases they will try to beat you into submission by the sheer weight of having to devote all your time and money in legal battles.
A lawyer is going to be rich
Fortuitous enrichment
I love the unrealistic judgement expectations I see on Free Republic, I find them amusing.
Yes, hes due some cash. And youre off by 2 orders of magnitude I expect.
