I’m guessing there is a lot of concrete and steel - and that’s a pretty dry climate too. I bet it is in pretty good condition.

Funny - here in the Seattle area there are old rundown ramblers on a half-acre lot that will sell for a similar price. Parents died or moved years ago, the kids let it sit empty until the right time to sell. So yeah - they are pretty much useless and rotted out. And then of course you have to pay to tear the house down on top of that!

Could make for an interesting prepper community with its built-in security. The only thing is it was designed to keep people in not out but a few retrofits could take care of any weak spots.

Walls could be torn down or doors installed to make apartments. Grow and play areas for food and kids would be far more secure than a regular farm. Armed machine gun equipped lookouts could be placed with lots of cameras.

Another scenario would be to keep it a prison and make it a work farm so inmates like the clinton crime family can work for their food and bedding. None of this laying around or playing games all day. Either one works for me.

The weak spot is usually the roof.

I’m thinking prison is warranted just for the outfits.

I wonder why it closed in the first place? I’m sure it has a lot to do with the asking price..

“The weak spot is usually the roof.”

Most probably a flat roof - good point. Although no leaves to clog up the drains and the dry weather, who knows. But - for $1.2 million, what do you want!? The site photo of the intersection is interesting - hotel, gas, etc. I wonder if those are up for sale or empty? I imagine the prison was the main attraction in that neck of the woods.
