I really enjoyed chatting with you. Think the last you suggested (am looking for the cooking thread) was Guy Lombardo, maybe not (I've got pages going in my pings to look for older topics/posts. I never cared for that music for some reason but should take the time to give it a listen. I didn't like a lot of the contemporary music on early tv when I was growing up.

Guy Lombardo was one of the "sweet band" leaders, who played music that was more melodious and less jazzy than the "swing band" leaders. Charlie Barnet spoofed the sweet bands in this 1939 recording:
