“” “Okay no coherent response then...” “”
LOL. You have just proved my point.
Why are you here and why are you posting lies?
Where did Kadyrov go?!
Your attempt at changing topic after being caught lieing is noted.
“Please tell us how it as in the good old days.”
I had a different username in high school and the dialogue was heated, but more intellectual — more religious posts also.
If you want me to be frank, I didn’t find the postings as racist. It was more ideology driven, less “white man scorned.” ?
Norse, I won’t ever win with you. So we can just establish that. I appreciate your responses though.
In his memoir Vorkuta (New York: Holt, 1955), Joseph Scholmer, a German Communist who survived the Gulag wrote that had the Nazis truly acted as liberators, five million Soviet citizens would have volunteered to join their armies and they would have conquered the Soviet Union.
Can I count it as you are giving up on you manufactured Stalin admiration slander?
I wish. At the moment, it’s just a fact. Stalin-appreciation in Russia comes and goes in waves based one circumstance. Post-Crimea it hit its most recent peak.
Do you know who Aleksandr Dugin is? Get his take on things...(Though if anything HE is the incoherent one.) - Pretty influential.
Soviet propagandists played the racial situation in the US for all it was worth.
In 1936, as the Great Purge got underway and millions began to disappear, the movie "Circus" appeared in Soviet theaters. It told the story of a black toddler fortunate to be rescued from the segregated American South and taken to the Soviet Union, where he would spend his life in Utopia.
The movie introduced the song Vast Country, My Homeland. The child smiles as a woman sings to him about the joys of living in a land "of many forests, mountains and rivers." The song is still popular in Russia, although they probably no longer sing about how "in big gold letters, we write the Stalinist code."

We have just established it is a lie and you agreed and now comes back to it. Once again with nothing to back it.
“” “Do you know who Aleksandr Dugin is? Get his take on things...(Though if anything HE is the incoherent one.) - Pretty influential.” “”
Yep, true /s. Exactly 36th on list of ‘influential’ political scientists of Russia (which probably has 40 ‘influential political scientists’) based on Openspace rating in 2009 meaning 98% of Russians never heard his name.
Since 2009 he was fired from his job in Moscow University over antisemitism and now engaged in Alex Jones type ‘journalism’ although not a one percent as successful.
“” “Soviet propagandists played the racial situation in the US for all it was worth.” “”
The irony is roles now reversed. Also ‘American’ propagandists of today unable to find much to slander in modern Russia resorting to digging out Stalin stuff and pinning it on modern ‘regime’.
Topicstarter is a brilliant example of that.
A philosophy student from St. Petersburg State University told me he believes Dugin best reflects mindset of Putin leadership. That is how I heard of Dugin.
‘philosophy student from St. Petersburg’
Is it akin to proverbial ‘anonymous source’ CNN and BBC cites so often?
By the way Dugin is in no way a Stalinist. He is closer to Nazi line which once again exposes your propaganda.
You should make it straight. Putin and Russian government may not be Stalinists and Neonazi at the same time. These are conflicting ideologies.
Just letting you know it was your average Russian. Dugin is a babbler but so is Putin. Putin is coherent about Nazism of course...but not on Russian Revolution, Stalin, and other sensitive intra-Russia historical memory topics.
I don’t understand that logic.
If it’s bad it’s bad. That should not be up for discussion. If you wish to talk degrees, I guess that is OK. But it’s not a contest.
I understand what we did. I understand why. Explanations don’t justify doing something that is wrong.
I think what you do is a bit tasteless.
See how it goes.
Soviet regime murdered over ten million innocents and sent many more to Siberian slave camps - but we must not forget the Japanese internment
Chinese government slaughtered 10,000 people in Tiananmen Square - but we must not forget that National Guard killed 4 in Kent State riots
Holocaust was a terrible thing - but we must not forget that a baker refused to bake a cake for some lesbians
Or we could do as the Japanese do, ignore it all, as if it never happened. The average Japanese student believe we caused Pearl Harbor, Nanking was Chinese propaganda, Bataan never happened. Unit 731 never existed. Is that what you want, a sanitized, white washed history.
I want you to retain perspective.
10,000 killed in Tianaman Square is not equal to 4 killed in Polk Riots! Both are reprehensible, but try to see the difference in scale. Fat boy hating gym class is not the same as Holocaust!
Both are reprehensible, and different in scale. One happened in China, one happened in America. Neither should have happened regardless of scale or location.
