Graphene is one of my favorite subjects. I hope graphene chat takes off on Free Republic. I would like to see chat about how to invest in it. I think that many could really benefit if some savvy freepers could help the rest of us who aren't too knowledgeable about investing figure this dynamite thing out. The iron is hot, lets strike!

It’s a long ways from my old PF Flyers...LOL
Yeah, IF this stuff is as good as they say it is, it might pay off on an investment.

Its a long ways from my old PF Flyers...LOL With the built in 'action wedge', that lets you run a little faster, jump a little higher?

The article doesn’t say that they help you run faster, but graphene is flexible. If it’s flexibility has unique qualities, who knows maybe one could run faster with graphene soles. At any rate they are suppose to last longer, so if you have a favorite pair of graphene running shoes they may be around longer.

If you start a graphene ping list please add me to it. I’m fascinated by its possibilities. I can’t imagine there being any more than a gimmicky amount in these shoes though.

Only interested if they make cowboy boots out of it.

A graphene ping list sounds like a really good idea. I’m not sure how to make a ping list. I’ll have to look into it.

Just read it. NB bought em and reproducing the PF Flyer in a modernized version. I think I might just go ahead and order me a pair. They may look kinda funny on a 67 year old, but I’m old enough now not to give a shite what anybody thinks...LOL

It’s not that hard to make yourself. You can put it in plastic to make it super strong, bullet proof even.

I've often thought that graphene would be perfect for creating tiny crush zone structures that could be incorperated into larger structures, to make motorcycle and auto racing helmets safer. Right now, expanded polystyrene foam is typically used, but the thin walls made of graphene matrices, with larger crush zone space might make impacts safer.
