I recommend a grain free salmon based food and organic coconut oil supplements.
A dog’s coat grows from within.
We tried to warn him.. a couple brewskis and he’s a whole different dog.. a devil dog.
That could be part of the issue. He certainly doesn’t get a special diet-inexpensive dog food supplemented with whatever our six kids leave on their plates, plus the occasional raw egg or meat trimmings. But my in laws female collie looked the same and the female collies at the breeder did as well. I just figured that maybe some are sort of in between smooth and rough.
He’s healthy and well loved so a shorter coat will suffice:).
