This story makes me really glad we bought 5-6 Thomas the Tank Engine Mega-Bloks sets for the Christmas toy drive for our local Easter Seals people.

Kids should watch shows with good moral and life lessons!

My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic Season 5 debut thrashes collectivism and forced equality.

And the fact that these leaders, both white males, look like most figures in position of authority in the real world is not lost on children."

"Look like most persons in position of authority"? Is this idiot writer living in the 19th Century? Who wears a top hat and tails?

I’ll bet the writer would like “Thomas the Tank Engine - Venezuela Edition”. Thomas and his friends no longer run as railway workers have stripped him of parts to buy themselves food.

Thomas is a fascist train? And so is the one carrying fracking equipment?

Does the media even know what Fascist means?

"Or maybe Skye, whose capability is flight, was the wrong choice for the mission. Should Ryder have picked her anyway for diversity's sake?"

My favorite character is Rubble, the bulldog who drives the bulldozer.

But he doesn't get picked for every mission either.

I honestly didn't know that there was racism afoot in Paw Patrol

Mayor Goodway, a hispanic woman is the town mayor.

And just guess who the bad guy mayor is?

Mayor Humdinger, a white guy who wears a top hat and a Snidely Whiplash moustache.

If anything, Paw Patrol OVERDOES it on political correctness.

I hate liberals so much.

Well look at pokemon, kid gets kicked out of the house to go camping to catch pokemon at the age of like 12 or something and goes out and EARNS GYM BADGES through hard work and training.

Some of the anime out there that is more age appropriate is very pro-work and pro-acheivement. I watched a show a while back and the kid was in high school and actually HAD A JOB AFTER SCHOOL!!! GASP!!!!!

It’s 10 years old. Also, they don’t get “kicked out”, they if anything leave voluntarily to pursue their journey.

I do agree with you to a certain extent (ESPECIALLY in Johto and the overall Original Series, back when they actually CARED about trying to have Ash pursue his goal rather than use it as an excuse to go to the next region.). However, Pokemon lately has been pretty much crap, basically pushing the opposite message that, it doesn’t matter how much work you put into things, you’re innately a loser, due to Ash losing several leagues, and the few things he DOES win like Battle Frontier, he ends up being treated as a joke later on. Pokemon stopped being pro-achievement by the time of Advanced Generation onward. It also doesn’t help that by that point, they also began using the girls to push soft-core child porn as Masamitsu Hidaka pretty much implied in that interview.

There are a few anime, however, that are pretty clearly not promoting conservative values, whether it be pro-work, pro-achievement, or even pro-traditional morality. An example of this is Love Hina (man, I have disgust towards that show. Doesn’t help that Pokemon’s nearly going that route).
