Didn’t see your post to the Canteen, I found it about a month ago and haven’t seen the appropriate opportunity to post it to an existing thread so I created one, lol.
Excellent !
Way too much talent to be a star these days, I doubt if any of them can even lip-synch.
That was excellent! Thanks for sharing!
John Anderson has had his day of getting fairly extensive airplay, on country stations at least.
I saw Anderson many years ago. Late 70’s. It was One of those concerts I will never forget.
He had another big hit with Billy Joe Shaver’s “I’m Just An Old Chunk of Coal”. Another great tune.
Such a great song. I had never heard it until last month at the Indian Pass Raw Bar in the Florida panhandle at karaoke night. Don’t know how I missed it, but now it’s one of my favorites.
Love that song
Most peoples’ familiarity with him would be due to “Just A-Swingin’” which had some crossover airplay but it’s not his best work. This is.

It does speak to many people, that old song. Hard to believe it’s as new as it actually is, though. Feels ancient.
Saw John Anderson in Cullman, Alabama I think in 2006 and it was great. His band was incredible. One of the best concerts I’ve been to.
Another great, great song... “An Occasional Eagle”. Beautiful song.

There was a live performance from Houston that I wanted to post but the audio quality was poor. This studio version is better.
Dixie had a face lift I guess she looking better
I kinda like the old one I never will forget her
