It’s a given that only Thuvia can represent Mars.
:P
I painted this on a Harley, once.
Is that what your previous post meant?
Zoomed right over my head. lOL
Don’t encourage him.
Art by Michael Whelan, if I’m not mistaken. One of my favorite SF artists.

Yup, good eye.
I knew a guy in college here in Texas who was a white South African. I thought the same thing about him when he married my friend's sister and they settled in the Dallas area: If he becomes a U.S. citizen he'll be a true African-American. I'll bet he'll have a hard time convincing folks to refer to him that way, lol.
they were all latino?
Hiya Salamander! Kind of Frank Frazetta looking .
Vallejo and Whelan had a much smoother, softer, polished and refined technique.
Frazetta was more rough and angular, conveying motion, emotion and a beautiful brutality.
His women were more stocky and 'barbaric' than either of the above artists and his art was far less "busy", keeping the main subject as the focal point and the background muted, raw and unobtrusive.
Vallejo and Whelan were quite accomplished with their more elegant styles but IMO, they never managed Frazetta's living, innate, passionate rawness of spirit.
The Thuvia painting is gorgeous but these below are eternally iconic.
:)
No one has ever matched Kane
Or The Death Dealer
Buddy of mine does Franzetta better than Franzetta does. He’s fantastic.
Just like Ernie Els.
“If she moves to the states and gets her citizenship will that make her an African-American.LOL.”
I always said that if Roger Whittaker became an American citizen he’s be an African American. And you can’t get much whiter than Roger Whittaker.
Well... Miss USA is a radio chemist, and one of the other ladies is an engineer.
But, yeah, at the end the PC question and answer session was a bit too much. The question itself about terrorism had “possibilities” , though.
A mischievous part of me hoped Miss USA* got further so she could be asked something like, “If little Kim continues on his present path, and carries out his threats, will he still be glowing in 2050?”
*My wife & I thought Miss USA was both gorgeous and “radiant”, as was Miss S. Africa, BTW. Miss Thailand was very pretty as well, tho’ she had that “LA” look too, and I wondered if her evening gown came from a Star Trek TOS “will it slip a bit too far” wardrobe room. ;-)
