You’re really stretching things a lot. And totally pretending a lot of stuff doesn’t exist.

said, "He is also NOT our ally. As some anti-globalists suggest"

I'm sorry. I don't know of any anti-globalist that thinks Putin could be our "ally" as in friends. Ally in war yes not as friends.

The first article was posted on May 12, 2017 only two weeks after the US stopped financing ISIS through the Free Syrian Army. Or last remaining finances from the last administration. We haven't been allied with ourselves for years. The US was our own worst enemy. Shortly after our own money stopped ISIS collapsed.

Over what time period did you live in Russia, and who did you work for while you were there?

There's a whole lot bigger problems Trump faces than election fall out........Iranian Pres. Rouhani, Russian Pres. Putin, Turkish Pres. Erdogan.....doing more than playing footsy of late.... meetings in Sochi Wed. 11/22/2017......"National Congress of Dialogue", as they're calling it, in Russia that would bring together warring factions in Syria for peace talks.....you can with certainty know there's more than Syrian talk going on with these three.

We have Obama and Europe/NATO's poor leadership to thank for this debacle. Turkey-Iran-Russia's leaders holding all these cards in the game. 😝😡 Righteousness will ultimately carry the day though. The evildoers plot in vain.

Crimea’s history now....it’s gone and no amount of complaining is going to return it to Ukraine..Not going to happen.... The only people keeping that ‘story’ alive otherwise are those using it for political leverage well knowing it’s gone.. period.

Furthermore identity has nothing to do with the land mass....which is what this is really about.....the Tatars were deported and sent away in 1944 and they will always try and reclaim Crimea as their’s....it will never happen either. They’re muslim and they carry the same old age claims on land the rest do to this day...it’s they’re nature.

.....”I don’t think Putin is the Devil incarnate”.....

No but he’s setting the stage for just that at the rapid rate he’s hitching his wagon to Rohanni and Erdogan in these past couple weeks ....and this in full court view of the press and audience, which matters!....
Putins playing his cards now in the wrong game....one in which he most definatly is going to pay a very heavy price, in time, for doing so.......Regardless of his reasoning for doing so....he’s wrong.

Ukraine’s going nowhere fast.....it is and always will remain a debtor state under outside control, the Imf and corporate interests in the US and EU created it to be so now .....aside from Industrial Northern Ukraine, which Putin will keep as a conflict zone, he’s not sweating any bullets over the rest of Ukraine.....he got what he wanted which was Crimea.

I think Ukraine is better off without Crimea.

But I am against the *spirit* in which the annexation was done. There was a palpable sense of vengefulness among the average (non-political) people of Russia over the whole thing...they figured the land-grab entitled them to the stature of Cold War times.

(During which the USSR was overestimated was plenty to begin with.)

And the current situation in Donetsk/Luhansk/Donbass (East Ukraine) is shameful. CLearly this was more than just about getting Crimea tacked back onto the Russian map. (Which I have since learned, North Korea haa already edited their maps for schools and things to acknowledge the change.)

Gotta look out for your friends.

I agree, although I am not as up on the current news about this as you are. Ping me to any article you comment on, please, if you remember.

The Ukraine thing is a whole nother story.

Does all that really matter now?.....One good thing for the US came out of that ‘grab’......Putin revealed to our military generals etc. his capabilities that they had not known beforehand. It was indeed ‘Genuis” as they said.....without firing a gun...... But we learned a great deal from watching it happen. Putin would have never attempted it without weighing the cost of what he’d be ‘revealing militarily’... and determining worth that risk. He played it right and well a according to our generals......but also gave us a birds-eye view of much.

Ukraine’s just done as it stands. It will be played as political fodder but has no bearing further than how it stands now. The EU will continue to trade and reap sufficient enough from Ukraine for them to be hopeful of being a part of the EU but it’s never going to actually happen.

Well that’s great for Putin. Sad his country feels like one man’s military skills are the only thing going for it to stake all their hope and energies in...and in the process, ruin relationship with Ukraine- the very country that should be their brother in arms.

I do not underestimate Ukraine. But then again I view things spiritually and God (as shown with His relationship to Israel in Bible times) has a special heart for small, underestimated nations under constant threat or betrayal. Ukraine is experiencing a major spiritual revival in the midst of the struggle and turmoil. If enough commit their way to God, they may just confound the world (and humble Russia) with what they can achieve...and may even be reeponsible for inspiring Russians to follow suit and break free from the psychological grip of Putinism once for all.

I do not underestimate Ukraine. It is the spiritual cradle of Eastern Orthodoxy and Slavic civilization.

As of last weekend, the country made Western Christmas (12/25) an official holiday. (Alongside Orthodox Christmas 1/7.)

Now they have two Christmases, spiritually bridging the Christian souls of East and West. That’s Ukraine. GOD has great plans to revive the country, which is a breadbasket of sorts! Just wait and see.

It's geo-politics no matter the hearts and minds of what might be wished or thought otherwise by the people Rose....that's just the way the wiles of men work in every nations leadership...none are exempt.

Ukraine's leadership has and will likely always be their problem....it's as corrupt as it's ever been...they simply move in and out the the same people very much like our own Representatives have done for decades now..and they always have a fresh supply they groom in the wings to make it appear as ‘fresh blood’...different titles perhaps but all desiring unearned wealth and the power it welds.

Ukraine's people themselves go from one revolution to the other.....trying to get it right but never getting where they desire because they do not understand their ‘location’ in the scheme of things and why it matters to those who play ‘the game’ on the world stage. ..and the people cannot change where their ‘land mass’ is.......it's a pivotal nation. Just the distance between Kiev and Moscow is only 500 miles..think about that a moment..... The Europeans would be even more reluctant than we are to go to war with Russia over Ukraine..........so any talk of the US/Nato military force against Russia was always just talk.... It will stay that way.

The will and power of God supercedes the machinations of men. The atheist Soviet Union did not understand this, which is why it collapsed.

As I wrote to little jeremiah:

Gods ‘will’ will always be done......it is of course according to his time table and not ours.

God uses both the lost and saved to accomplish his will....and lets not forget the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

As for Ukraine as a ‘spiritual cradle’ one could also recall Constantinople and where that is today.

Yes well all I know is Trump’s victory is proof that PRAYERS. WORK. :)

Among other encouraging developments on the world stage as of late...

(I like the latest crop of leaders emerging in Europe. Kurz in Austria, and even Macron has surprised me...neither of them are Trump, but you know. Gotta start somewhere...like Brexit. And it makes sense for America to be leading the way anyway- in terms of doing the right thing. Next up: overturning Roe v. Wade.)
