Why would earth turn into a giant fireball unless Islam gets it’s hands on all the nuclear weapons and sets them all off.
CO2 is not gonna burn us up, even if the CO2 levels are QUADRUPLED!!!! because CO2 levels were MORE then Quadrupled when dinos were walking around for hundreds of millions of years!!!

Even if you melted all the water on the earth, there would be no “catastrophic flood”, only the coastal areas would be heavily affected, also thermodynamically the time it would take for it to melt would make it possible for a snail to escape the flooding with literal YEARS to spare!!!

Strange he thinks we'd be safe on Alpha Centauri. If we can get there, this all powerful AI he's so afraid of will be able to get there with even less trouble and will probably look at Alpha Centauri like it's its own backyard.

Hawking is a bright guy, but his daily grind is rather miserable, I’d imagine. Making inane pronouncements like this is a smart way to garner the attention that he craves. Oh, and he’s probably nonplussed with his Creator, so lashing out may be his natural response.
