I was a country girl growing up, and we always had chickens.
I remember watching the hens walking leisurely around ‘singing’ to themselves. I thought it so cute. ( I remember ours ‘singing’ far more softly, though)
I also remember being chased by the roosters.
Some of them are really mean, and will attack if you get near their harem. They have sharp spurs’ on the back of their feet that can really hurt you.
I just love chickens.
Is there anything much cuter than a tiny, fuzzy baby chick?
