Adam Ant on his comeback and why he left the music business
Heres how Adam Ant almost died by knife! making the Antmusic video
Ping, and can you ping the other Freeper who likes AA. I can’t remember her name now.
Don’t drink, don’t smoke, what do you do?
I bought Kings of the Wild Frontier when I was in 8th grade and thought it was amazing. Last year I heard the entire album again for the first time in 30yrs....it was even better than I remembered.
He’s in my ancient “heard of, but never heard” file.
Now if only kajagoogoo could make a comeback.
Oh, wait. Different Adam Ant.
(I saw Adam and the Ants back in 1980.)
XTC versus Adam Ant
Content versus form
Fighting for their place in rock and roll
There is no right or wrong
Just when you think it’s finished
With XTC on top
Ant music, like a phoenix
Flies back up the charts
XTC versus Adam Ant
Only one will survive
Beatle-based pop versus new romantic
History will decide
XTC versus Adam Ant
I can’t tell you why
Even the singer from Bow Wow Wow
Can’t make up her mind
XTC versus Adam Ant
Time is marching on
XTC versus Adam Ant
There is no right or wrong
There is no right or wrong
There is
No right
Or wrong
UP AND AT EM!

AA was one of my favs. Loved the drums and that beat.
That was about me! But I always assumed he was gay.
He's still soundin' pretty good, imho. If he played somewhere close by, I'd be right up front again!
Just wish the audio was a bit better in the video.
Bought one Adam Ant 45 back in the day - Xerox it was called . Bought w/o hearing first . Played once . XTC on the other hand - own just about everything they ever recorded . Still listen to them and play drums along with the CDs in my music room . No comparison IMO .
If you still have tgat single, it’d be valuable.
Listening to their music also led me to Bow Wow Wow which was an equally unique mix of new wave and tribal music.
Long live Antmusic!
I remember Adam Ant from back in the days when I used to frequent “video bars”. He was great fun and a true showman. d:^)
TMBG ping!
Me too.
Now, I did see Adam Ant once, but I went to see the opening act, The Romantics. But when Adam Ant came on, the girls were screaming like he was the second coming of The Beatles.
