Ive been watching TJ Hooker, which I previously ignored. I love how TJ is always calling the criminals punks and scum! He was shutting down an abortion doctor and told him, Youve multilated your last pregnant teenage girl, butcher! Haha!
I will never forget the excitement when Jay Stewart said “a brand new car”. Nobody ever said it better.
Those caddies remind me of my old man. Just starting out after WWII war in construction he had nice Buicks and Caddies. When I was a kid it was a Buick and a Chevy Station wagon. “You know, when I first started, with the profit from one house you could buy a brand new Caddy. Now it is the down payment on a Chevy”. (Carter years).
He ended up doing well in the end. After I went off to college he retired. He would buy a big used Caddy with low miles down in Florida, drive it for the winter down there, bring it up north and sell it. He would have two or three at a time. Was cool to come home from college for a few weeks and cruise around in a 1977 coupe de’ville convertible or whatever they were.
“born in Canada”
I always knew there was something odd about Monty, but couldn’t fut my pinger on it.
What Da you know, eh, he was a hoser.
Man, that’s great!
It wasn’t so long ago that this was normal behavior. It would be impossible to see or hear such things on TV these days.
It’s sad. Just sad where our society is today.
Monty was all right. I just wasn’t into game shows.

Ouch!
Then I thought of the Monty Hall Problem, which I STILL don't understand.
I planned to look him up to see if he was still alive.
He seemed like a real stand-up guy.
Glad that it turns out he was.
Thank you! I loved that show as a kid. My father didn’t particularly like being called Daddy-o Village, though.
It was filmed in Chicago?
Spiegel was a sponsor of several game shows which closed the episode with a 10-second commercial “Spiegel: Chicago 60609.”
The Monty Hall Problem seems SO counterintuitive, yet it is 100% mathematically true.
