Counting day and evening occasions, and maybe factoring in that she doesn’t appear in public every single day, FLOTUS would still need several hundred outfits to make it through one term.
They expect her not to repeat anything in 4 years?
WHAT ABOUT 8 YEARS, BWAHAHA! Contemplate that, snarky MSM.
Glad she wore it again.
I could watch reruns of her all day long...
In the 1960s What magazine WASN’T filled with ads. Perhaps two..National Geographic and (was it even published during that time frame?) Birds and Blooms publishers. Hollywood movie magazines were popular back in the day. Every page turned had an ad for something. Fredricks of Hollywood, wigs, make up. Felt as though you walked into the mall.
Republican First Ladies always look great and have class, Melania Trump is at the top of that class.
Democrats only have scruts like Hillary and Obama’s wife.
I travelled with General and Mrs. Al Haig when he was running for the nomination. She was very classy.
I’ll bet she didn’t wear a pantsuit for months on end or dress like a clown as Obama’s wife did.
Of course not.
I saw the same green pair of ill-fitting pumps on The Thing for eight years. I tried not to look at IT or ITS husband, but I always noticed those awful shoes. Not only was there a gap in the back, they were never appropriate for whatever Goodwill rags she had on.
They really don’t know very much about women or favorite clothes. There is more involved in buying and wearing an outfit than just money. Time is involved. It takes time to find the right outfit and then to make sure it is fitted.
More importantly, when a woman finds an outfit she loves, she sort of falls in love with it. She loves the color, the way it fits, and the way it makes her feel. An outfit she may “love” more than others. She certainly doesn’t want to never wear it again.
Some women tenderly wash and even mend there favorite outfit. A outfit that really works for her isn’t a dime a dozen. She may never see that outfit again. It may become too dated to wear. She is going to wear it as often as she can get away with it, while she can. When she finally has to let it go she may even feel sad. At least, if she is rich she will be able to have someone make another one that similar.
Anyone who has ever had a favorite pair of blue jeans knows how disappointing it is when they finally have to be get rid of them. Not much different then when it comes to a woman’s favorite clothes.
I probably have shoes that are older than this author. I wear clothes till they wear out.
I hate shopping.
