I don’t dispute that Zimmerman was defending himself.
Only pointing out that the same people who act as if Zimmerman should be culpable because he continued (having lost sight) are completely silent about Martin’s free will decision to go back.
Had Martin not had a chip on his shoulder about being disrespected (or whatever) and just kept on walking home he wouldn’t have died that day.
And while we’re at it, being disrespected or followed by a creepy white man is NOT a valid reason to act as Martin did even though numerable black people sometimes seem to think it is.
Arguably, Martin didn’t die because he was black, because Zimmerman was some racist, no, he died because of his blackness, because he had an issue over his race and what he may have thought it demanded of him.
the last 8 years was one of the most disgraceful periods in our nation’s history- There were some bad periods, but his reign of terror ranks right up there with the some of the worst of them
