I think we could do a massive number of simultaneous strikes, bunker-busters against Kim and the nuke installations, MOABs against the artillery installations on the border. It would require a massive assault with a large number bombers. Could we slip them in before the artillery fires on Seoul, that’s the question.

I'm not convinced. I have doubts about our strategic intelligence. We need to know exactly what to hit to cut communications along with most/all of their military assets. THEN, we need to be able to move a massive military force to within striking distance without being noticed for a coordinated strike.

If we have this ability, I would be happily surprised and grateful that we were able to keep THAT technology secret. If they were able to launch one nuclear ready weapon, the scope and plan would change. The escalation would likely invite some other players to join. I'm not sure where it would go after that.

That said, I would not rule out your option, all things considered. We may already be in a no-win situation with NK and simply biding time.

The ‘story’ comes from a NK woman who was born into the NK gulag system and escaped as a girl. She writes about life as she knew it before reaching South Korea. There are several other NK defectors who corroborate her accounts of life in the NK gulag system.

A lot of you really need to read some history of other peoples, political systems and nations.

Well, this kind of propaganda has been trotted out for over a century when someone wants the USA in a war. And no matter how crazy, enough people believe it.

I remember watching the testimony of "Nayirah" on CSPAN before the first Gulf War. When CSPAN cut to the members of the house it was pretty clear they were not believing her. No one really believed her, even CNN, because if the Iraqis were so brutal they would have killed all the witnesses. When it came out she was a relative of a Kuwaiti ambassador the story was dropped in a week.

The DPRK situation is real. Escapees have consitently reported horror stories. Dr. Norbert Vollertsen was in the DPRK and got expelled for speaking out about what he saw. When North Korea finally collapes, we're going to follow Gen. Eisenhower's example on the death camps and document everything.

Hey first off nothing in my post said what was said in the story didn’t happen so maybe a little remedial reading course would be in order.
Second you should pull out whatever crawled up your butt and maybe you wouldn’t get so wound up over a bunch of meaningless posts.
