The hags are complaining that women would never de-generate as the book had the boys do. So as long as one says women are superior to men that is ok but it is verboten to point out ways men as a group are superior to women. There have been reality survival shows where men and women have been segregated. The men get organized and do what is necessary to survive. The women do nothing then complain the men are not helping them.

The 1960 version (which suffers from having been made on a shoestring budget) was the more faithful to the story of the two I’ve seen.
Some may not appreciate the fact that it was also true to the nature of boys with regard to clothing. The youngest ones shed theirs entirely, while the older ones (even those who most reverted to savagery) retained them even as they fell to tatters.
Parents will recognize this behavior.

The adaptation of William Goldings 1954 novel has faced backlash on social media as critics have accused it of "missing the point".Yeah we already know a bunch of wimmins will disorganise if there isn't a man there to tell them what to do. It wouldnl't be unexpected. (Or should I read the article?)

Maybe they’re all transgendered girls, who are really boys, so they act like boys.
