Sixteen weeks day before yesterday.. Lots of jolly ranchers but no patches or chantix or nicogum. Haven’t been too cranky but yeah, I still want one. Guess it’s supposedly in the psych stage now and not physical. ;-)
Only looks at one part of the equation.
Take a 100 people who vape. 8% quit. That’s a good thing.
However, if at the same time, E-cigs are normalized and 100 teenagers, start to vape, become addicted...then switch to cigarettes. Well, there is no gain to society.
Building a new pipeline to addiction is absurd.
Are teens more likely to vape than smoke a cigarette?
A few weeks ago, I saw someone in the car next to me vaping an illegal substance. Well, it’s illegal here until January. But I’m not sure you will be able to drive while smoking in January.
If i wanted to quit i would probably not need any thing to help me quit..
If you've switched from cigarettes to vaping you've already quit smoking. There is something like 59 noxious gases and chemicals in cigarette smoke, including carbon monoxide, plus tar, and there is only nicotine in vaping. Quite possibly the least noxious chemical of the 59.
Of course our all-wise government, at every level, who has demonized tobacco and put excessive taxes on it, is working on banning or heavily taxing vaping. Tobacco is evil but it's the government's evil and competition will not be allowed.
It’s how my son-in-law was able to quit.
I guess, but almost all are still addicts. After all it's the nicotine that most seek.
Always the nanny statist, Drango.
Thinking that you can control people’s behavior with government force is more absurd.
I smoked my last cigarette on 11/9/09 thanks to e-cigs.
Still happily vaping after all these years.
The amount of nicotine in e-cigs can be controlled with descending levels of nicotine down to 0 nicotine content. Can’t do that with tobacco.
Always the addict TigersEye.
“Building a new pipeline to addiction is absurd.”
Either way it’s none of your damned business what adults do.

How is that any of your business? With vaping the noxious smelling smoke you hate is gone. 99% of the health compromising chemicals are gone. What is left for you to object to?
Obviously you can control people’s behavior by government force. The left has been doing it for decades, and quite effectively.
That doesn’t make it any less of an absurd thing to do. It’s certainly un-American.
From post 15: "Ad-hominem is not an argument it's just the bloviating flatulence of liars and losers"

Formaldehyde, a carcinogen, is present apparently...
