That's true, But you can also get bumped from your seat. At least that's how it used to be. I was flyuing on a similar pass but got bumped from an overbooked flight in Warsaw, Poland and had to spend 26 hours in a hard plastic, unupholstered banana seat (when I wasn't pacing around it) until my next flight.
CSI Episode ,,,,?
Was case on Southwest airlines August 2000 - mental case
tried to rush cockpit
Passengers gave him beat down then sat on perp - died
of suffocation
This clown got off lucky.......
Somebody should have opened the door and pushed this dangerous fool out. Would have saved the criminal justice system a lot of time and money (and in the future).
Sheesh! Whatever happened to giving a stranger a helping hand? /sarc
Drugs and/or possession.
That was my first thought too. Bath Salts or any one of the weird new designer drugs out there like Flakka that the law hasn't even made illegal yet because they are too new with no one ingredient being illegal but together they make people go literally crazy like running into an oncoming car crazy or running down the middle of the freeway naked crazy.

The people don't remember a thing afterward. This guy could go to prison for 20 years for doing stupid things on an airplane that he doesn't even remember doing. I bet he remembers doing the drugs though and he knew the risks. Geez; on a plane of all places!!
Not enough to open an exit door of an in flight pressurized jumbo jet. Eaisily over a ton of pressure holding the door closed. Evidently, the door didnt know who he was either.
The guy’s mother is a FA. So he was non-rev. LOL His mother must be real happy.
