This is some flagrant anti-breastfeeding stupidity. Beer is -— I kid you not-— like a milk-friendly nutrient smoothie. Keeps mom relaxed and hydrated, contains B vitamins and such for baby.
If I were in that bar I would have verbally defended that woman from the arresting officers.
Mom needs nutrition. /s
My mother raised 10 children including 7 girls who all had children and breast fed. When my wife and sisters had children (or grandchildren) Mom always recommended a beer to stimulate breast milk. It worked every time especially if they were having trouble initially getting flow. Mom also recommended vanilla ice cream, but I’m not sure if it actually helped or she just loved vanilla ice cream.
I remember an old nurse in the maternity ward recommending beer, in moderation, to assist with lactation.
Just saying.
If Indiana still forbids anyone under the age of 21 from entering a liquor store, tavern, or buying alcohol, I can see why she was arrested. Her baby is obviously under 21 years old.
Actually beer is one of the things preferred by doctors to help milk production while breasfeeding. My daughter in law had twins a couple years ago, and the docs said an occasional beer helps.
My family says my mom, who was a bona fide alcoholic, drank so much Jack Daniels while I was in utero that it’s surprising I wasn’t born with a square head.
You know, like the bottle.
oops!
mom and dad always
shared a fondness for the drinks
didn’t affect me
A haiku:
Mom’s party lifestyle
Gave my liver a workout
before I was born.
and
If fetal booze good
I’m compelled to ask question:
Why arms different lengths?

Excellent, and thanks for the laugh!
I knew you wouldn’t disappoint us...
You spur my haiku sickness.
Stop goading me!
You spur my haiku sickness.
Stop goading me!
I will goad thee not
out of respect for your skill
a sickness, you say?

I heard a news report on the radio that said she was offering sex for more beer.
See ... there's your problem. If they hadn't been swilling the Old Crow, you might have made General. Hell, you might have become the Commandant! But NOooooooo ....

Bad mom.
