On a much smaller scale, I give wide berth to roadkill “deer bombs” when riding the bike in the summer.

The road crews are not always timely in collecting them and some of them of are absolutely stretched beyond a deer hide’s ability to hold it all in...just laying there in the hot sun, waiting for something to suddenly and dramatically give...

Many years ago, I had a semi in the fast lane blow a retread right beside me, in my Scirocco.

I imagine deer bombs being sort of like that, only much wetter and more colorful.
