Several time I took home one of the Springfields in order to work on a stock.
I even hitchhiked home once with an ‘03. In fairness the stock and rifle were separated and in a bag.

“”I get the idea that the school is concerned about liability should this tiff turn into a shooting fight on campus. I dont blame them. In my opinion, theres not a chance in the world that these are, Dad and I go to hunter-safety class, photos.””
I tend to agree with you. I’m pretty sure there were subtle (or not) words accompanying the photo and the implication that he had the use of a firearm AND - complete the sentence.
“”I think the issue is more about what the comment was, rather than the gun picture. If the comment was a direct threat, for example.””
My thoughts also...
::Another glimmering example of why I have forbidden the use of social media by my children.::
A wise, wise move IMO. I have seen problems within families due to careless/thoughtless postings when someone is angry. Apologies are not well accepted - or should I just say “UNACCEPTABLE”. I have a quirk about apologies - if an apology is going to be NEEDED, keep your mouth shut to begin with! Not much can be done about “adult children” who participate in this trivial pursuit of telling everyone their business and is often the case, the business of the entire family. Someone is sick, someone went to the hospital, someone died - all the “friends” are really interested in that? People they haven’t seen in 20-30 years? Spare me!
You can tell this is a pet peeve of mine....
