(13) Unlawful means, with respect to removal or confinement, one that is accomplished by force, threat or fraud, or, in the case of a person who is under the age of thirteen (13) or incompetent, accomplished without the consent of a parent, guardian or other person responsible for the general supervision of the minor's or incompetent's welfare.
But he took her over state lines and he now has to answer to the Feds.
Wow. My hat goes off to you sir. That would have been a very tough thing to do. I don’t think I could have done it. But, you didn’t really have a choice. I pray everything worked out in the end for them.
They had ten kids and only 5 were abused. If am reading the story correctly it’s the last 5 to be abused. Then again you may be correct and this is where she was caught as dad had to travel a lot. Perhaps next week will be reporting the older children who are already out of the house were abused when younger. It is rather strange she would only abuse the 5 youngest unless some mental illness set upon her?
Fatima I get what they are saying. Even though the mom was gone the kid had PTSD and was not getting treatment for the abuse she suffered. So in her mind, yes she would “run” to a place where she felt safe.
Can’t help but wonder, and Timpanagos1 back me up here, maybe Elizabeth was thinking or harboring thoughts such as “dad why did you not protect me from our crazy mom?” Or even “why didn’t anyone protect me from my crazy mom?”, mostly blaming her dad and other adults who did know about this as she was forced to undress around a group of people.
While this is going on Tad knew it and was weaving his web and she got stuck in it.
I really didn’t have time to follow this case.http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forum.php is the best place to follow it.Of course your right in why she left .
I’ve followed it from the beginning and posted. If you want to just put in keyword “Elizabeththomas” and there is everything.
That mom was a piece of work! This was not merely a case of a teenage girl acting out this was an severely abused child who did not have her head on strait.
Pray for her, lets hope that some day when she’s a young woman in her 20’s she’s mentally adjusted, stable and has her life in order.
I will pray for her starting today.I will also use the keyword.I also pulled up websleuths on it.Right now we have 5 teen grandchildren and we watch them like a hawk.I am there after school for 3 of them and my husband does the other family.
