Black widows are not aggressive. They are one of the few spiders I will kill because they could take out my cats, but in reality, I have them crawl on me several times - no bites. Mostly, if they see you seeing them they are like “RUN!” and take off. My house and garage used to be infested with them.
Ya. Probably a lost cause. Plus, they kill insects.
They are too close to family. Me? I can deal with it but if my son or wife get bit, that is not good.
I keep them out of walking path areas. I don’t hunt them behind boxes although they are probably hiding out there too.
I went on a geology field trip outside a town in far west Texas after a hard rain. We were driving down the highway and the tarantulas were all over the highway drying out. Kind of like those crabs spawning in the south pacific islands. They were just smashed spots on the road from all the cars running them over. We pulled over and a fellow student let one crawl up his arm. Freaked me out, told him to get that thing away from me.
I hate spiders, especially big hairy ones.
The duck billed platypus has venomous spurs on its hind legs.
And of course there’s the Tasmanian devil which spins like a whirling dervish and attacks ducks and rabbits.
Bikini Spiders?
Autralia must be the home of the most poisonous . . . well . . . everything!
Some of the sheep are pretty safe.
