I like it better than the 1989 version. (It kind of looks liek a Cure video from that era. )

Why did 1989 resurrect a bunch of songs from the early 80's, like Send Me and Angel, I Melt With You by Modern English, When I'm With You by Sheriff, and Into the Night by Benny Mardones?

She wrote it herself as a teenager, she was apparently very impressed with Emily Bronte.

Kate Bush was wacky but influential as I mentioned, this is breaking slightly from topic being early 90’s but I’ve always thought it was awesome:

Disgusting!! (Hocking loogies!)
Being up on a brightly lit stage in front of an audience does strange things to some people. It brings out the arrogance and haughty contempt they often have for their fans. Still, some fans pay big bucks to be a part of this kind of ‘performance’.

How much would you pay to hear ear-splitting feedback?

I used to watch the Patridge Family as a kid. What a cutie he was.

I found this article about it, but there are other sources, too, of course.

You would have to research the whole BOC mythos.

They were a bar band that Sandy Pearlman got hold of and used to channel his epic story line.

Part Lovecraft, part Egyptian high ritual magick, part ETI, all awesomely interwoven to tell a story, every album, another chapter.

Good lord, I’ve never noticed it before but I think Lady Gaga can be added to the list of singers influenced by Kate Bush.

I just mean how they perceive themselves, with their whole Warhol, Mapplethorpe, Manhattan scene vibe.

I remembered this song one night a couple of years back. I loved this one when it came out in 1980. I think they redid it a few years later, but I don’t know if was 1989 or not. :) I don’t know anything else by them.

Lady Gaga was definitely good at ripping off Missing Persons/Dale Bozzio.

I'm sure I would! I love road trips and music. :) We could be like Thelma and Louise minus all the bad stuff.

if he showed up at the door.

It probably wouldn't be the first time he showed up at someone's door. You might have to carry him, though.
