I think they are trying to assert the modern feminist's view of strength, and they are recalling the way in which younger women called themselves Nasty Girls in the 1980s when the likes of Madonna were young women.

The term at the time came from popular songs by Vanity, who sang Nasty Girl, written for her by Prince, and Janet Jackson's song Nasty, which was about nasty boys.

At that time the term referred to individuals who's mind was focused on, and who were interested in sexual activity, and for women it included a component of superiority, where the female overwhelmed the male.

That sentiment expressed by a young performer was amusing. Somehow it doesn't age well, and when applied to Madonna today, or Hillary Clinton, it isn't a very attractive idea.

Denise Matthews, who performed as Vanity, became a Christian evangelist and renounced the themes present in the song. She passed on in 2016.

Ask your significant other, girl friends, or wife if they have ever discussed your lovemaking with other females. In How much detail? Size? In front of multiple women at the beauty shop?

Be prepared for a shock.

On the other hand I find that men are much less open to talking about their sex life with women whom they are currently involved in any detail. Probably because if some guy then thinks it is OK to comment and goes over the line it could result in a bad confrontation.
