In a way that was 0bama’s silver lining. He would sell his soul to the Dems each election and once it was over and the deal was done he’d take it back sort of applying his “you didn’t build that” attitude towards them. It seems to me the one principle in his life that overrides all others is ego-gratification.
I’d feel sorry for the Dems ... if I didn’t think that is exactly what they deserve!
On another thread I posted that Obama did in 2016 what BJ Clinton did in 2000; after coming into office with Dems holding the cards they both left with Republicans holding them all - and in both cases, we hear about how popular they were (despite the fact that voters rejected their heir apparents).
Look at how quickly the toxic BJ Clinton disappeared from sight, and I believe that’s what will happen with Obama. He can’t offer political favors anymore, so there is no reason for anyone to speak to him (unless they think he might help rouse blacks to vote Democrat in the mid-terms). Both were self-centered egomaniacs; not someone you’d continue dealing with when the professional relationship is over.
