Am I correct in opposing this? University prices have skyrocketed, a building boom has been been going on the past 8 years at this University while the surrounding economy has been stagnant.
What arguments should I make to the President of the University if I am persuaded to oppose this indoctrination. I live in a conservative state, and this b.s. would not be popular in state flyover country.
Barf. Just checked my small conservative salt of the earth alma mater and see they now have a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. The description for the program is, “immigration and LGBTQ rights.” WHHHHYYYYYYYY???? How times have changed. How embarrassing.....
No, I have less than zero pull to change the flavor of yogurt in the cafeteria.
Morally you should try, recognizing you will get “academic” arguments denying their is any bias.
I would suggest you make the argument that many politically charged courses should be eliminated as courses, and, should the course topic be germane to a broader course category, it should be presented only as invited lectures within a course, where the course also offers opposing views.
This argument is to say many courses such do not provide any balance where true critical thinking and opposing judgements are part of the academic experience. That makes such course pure indoctrination attempts, not a morally or philosophically balanced “education”.
Just tell them you are not donating and will be contacting as many alum as possible with this and encouraging them not to donate as well.
Money is the only thing they respond to.
PC = no donation.
there should be a list of PC infested schools.
