Please note that this was published immediately after the 2012 election. In retrospect it is very interesting. I really like the fourth one. Looks like she nailed it. But all eleven points are good!

Notice that she avoided any mention of the issue that got Trump elected.
The illegal alien inundation.
The GOP never wanted to stop it.
Americans did.

I don’t think it was the problem back then that it is now.

At least, I don’t think it was on as many people’s radar back in 2012 as it is now. Freepers are always ahead of those curves.

Yep. In any way possible.

I’m amazed at how this post mortem from 2012 speaks so much to what we saw and how we responded in 2016.

She is right on just about all counts.

Out saving grace is that the immature, spoiled Democrat voter base could not be bothered to get off the couch and go to the polls for Hillary, a candidate whom they found both uninspiring and loathsome.

My fear is if the Dems manage to find a candidate who lights their fire we are gonna be overwhelmed again.

1. We are outnumbered

apparently not.

2. It wasn’t the candidate(s)

Yes it was.

3. It’s the culture, stupid.

Nope, it’s the economy.

4. America has become a nation of adolescents

Yes, so fight the battle on adolescent terms and you can win.

5. Yes, there is apparently a Vagina Vote

And apparently the VV didn’t vote for Romney but would vote for Trump, even with his known issues, even against the first female president!

6. It’s not about giving up on “social issues”

Social issues are a sideshow. Economy, immigration, pocketbook issues, jobs. You win or lose on these.

7. Obama does not have a mandate. And he does not need one.

Obama is great for the GOP... if he’s not actually on the ticket.

8. The CorruptMedia is the enemy

The media has only the power you give them. Treat them as irrelevant losers and all their power will crumble into dust.

9. Small business and entrepreneurs will be hurt the worst

pocketbook issues.

10. America is more polarized than ever; and this time it’s personal

so put on your big boy pants and fight.

11. It’s possible that America just has to hit rock bottom

apparently not.

As I said, after Bush won in 2000, all we did was put off the inevitable for another four years.

In this lost and fallen world it is the most we can hope for until the Lord’s return.

It has been an issue since W.’s multiple attempts at amnesty and refusal to enforce the laws.
Unfortunately the GOP was determined to squelch it as an issue and nominate amnesty candidates which made it a non-issue.
One cannot vote against amnesty/open borders by voting for amnesty/open borders candidates.

Even when I was pushing for Cruz back in 2015, I told my friends that I thought Trump had a good chance of winning the presidency if he won the primary.

The reason was simple. He was seen as “anti-GOPe”. It means that he was perceived, almost, as an independent. And this is important regarding the folks in the middle and the disgruntled left who supported Bernie.

It meant we could relive the era of “Reagan Democrats”, which I believe is a little of what happened. But they helped him both by voting for him and/or feeling comfortable enough with him to either not bother to vote, or waste their vote on one of the also-rans.

And that is what happened.

That’s exactly right, in my opinion. I thought there would have to be a record turnout if Trump was going to win, I was wrong. Eligible turnout % was less than in 2008 and 2012. Look out if they manage to nominate a candidate that is more appealing than maggoty roadkill.

We haven’t even had 65% eligible voter turnout since 1908, despite millions and millions being spent on campaigns. That could be a good thing or bad thing. And all that money is spent to sway the swayable, the dumbest 10% of voters who still manage to vote but vote one way and then another for generally no rational reason.

Revised for 2016:

1. We are outnumbered

Perhaps, but we are far less outnumbered when we actually show up to vote. If President Trump is a success, turnout for 2020 will be even higher among patriotic voters.

[Note: History suggests that even if we hold the White House for eight years, decent Americans will decide that government is no longer a threat, and too many of us will stay home in 2024. In this first year under President Trump, we have to roll back as many of the losses of the past three generations as possible; it’s not enough to hold the line and dismantle a couple of the worst excesses.]

2. It wasn’t the candidate(s)

It was the candidates. President Trump was, in the eyes of many voters seriously flawed. However, Hillary was fatally flawed even in the eyes of those who couldn’t vote Trump. Democrats just didn’t turn out for her, and that helped us to sweep the elections at all levels.

3. It’s the culture, stupid.

The culture is a serious issue, and we have lost almost irretrievably in some cultural areas. That is bad for America, but it may also be good politically if the culture warriors just stay home now that they can pretend to be married.

4. America has become a nation of adolescents

In 2016, we voted that the adults don’t want to support other people’s (and countries’) overgrown children. Even many adolescents took that position.

5. Yes, there is apparently a Vagina Vote

Yes, there is. Just as many racists voted Barack Hussein because of his race, many sexists voted Hillary because of her sex. We also found that with a candidate whose only qualification is her genitals (such a marginal trait that even Bill Clinton wasn’t interested in that part of her), the vagina vote was a monologue with very few listeners.

6. It’s not about giving up on “social issues”

It is about setting limits on the intrusion of the social justice warriors and their invented social issues. Once they started agitating for perverts in public restrooms with our children, they had stepped too far.

7. Obama does not have a mandate. And he does not need one.

True. The usurper had no mandate, but he was still able to damage all aspects of our country. President Trump may not have a mandate, and the media will certainly repeat that he doesn’t but he doesn’t need one. He is the President of the United States, and he will have Congress and the state governments on his side. He needs to shrink government back to its proper limits, clean house, and drain the swamp,

8. The CorruptMedia is the enemy

The people realized that the Media-Emperor has no clothes. President Trump bypassed the media, and the people were perfectly willing to listen directly to Reddit, to Twitter, and to other alternate media to, for the first time, have access to the truth.

9. Small business and entrepreneurs will be hurt the worst

Job creators were hurt the worst, and that wiped the democrat party from power in a large part of our country. It turns out that enough people don’t like being dependent parasites.

10. America is more polarized than ever; and this time it’s personal

America is so polarized that we were willing to overlook some rather big things from President Trump in order to avoid Tyrant Hillary. Even republicans who had major issues with some of President Trump’s positions or rhetoric could not stand aside or vote Hillary.

11. It’s possible that America just has to hit rock bottom

We allowed Barack Hussein to take power. Twice. That’s hitting rock bottom, one step below a second winter as a homeless person. If that self-inflicted disaster wasn’t enough to turn America around, nothing would be.

The Trump Democrats are why he won Pennsylvania and Michigan.
They were an integral part of why he won.
You’re right that he was viewed as not GOPe.
Largely because he promised to stop the illegal alien inundation against the wishes of most of the GOP.

Personally I am convinced that if the Dems ever get control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency (God forbid!) they are going to implement rules where you will have to show proof of having voted in order to receive welfare, food stamps, student aid, or any other sort of government benefit.

Turnout over 70% will certainly result in Marxist-Leftist rule.

I liked her number 4 because we actually saw it in spades from the opposition after the election. Nobody denies it any more - at least that they liberal side is a bunch of crybabies, and worse.

A Google search for "Hillary voters crying" gives 18+ million hits.

"To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!" Yes, the lamentations of their women (both XX and XY liberal women) are what is best in life.

If that ever happens, yeah we would be done. It’s actually a wonder the state benefits voting tipping point hasn’t happened way before when you think about it.

Only 23 more days till this feckless, petulant, insufferable, traitor is out of office. My God, Obama is such a horrible human being. The world
and the human race was cursed with his unfortunate birth. I hope Trump hires
Serve-Pro to send their best workers to clean up the White House, after the
Obama’s and their spawn are gone, “like it never even happened”
