My old Willys was more deteriorated than I bargained for when I got it.
Most of the core problems were in the electrical system. It’s been 85% rewired by me with a few additions.
I have made some improvements. The biggest was getting a Weber 32/36. Finding adapter plates was the big source of heartburn.
It does not come off unless that engine comes out.

So you’re not ditching the internal combustion engine for an electric motor, you’re installing a servo for something else then, right? Sorry to be so dense.

Back in 1975 in Pinkafeld, Austria, I saw a 2CV with the wheel rims reversed to give a wider track. The entire car was painted in a very good imitation of the Lotus F1 JPS scheme.
What a riot!

I've seen a video of a 2CV that they'd dropped a Porsche flat six into, bombing around some track in England startling the heck out of other drivers on the track, which was comical. Evidently they're great cars, fantastic ride like all Citroens, very compliant and cushy but still handle well once you get past being afraid you'll lay it over on the door handles. But, I just can't get past the canned ham look of the things. Now, a DS, that's another matter.

Wayne Carini: McQueen's '67 FerrariOur neighbor, Crazy LOVES Ferraris. Perhaps you have seen him on his Velocity ....*Chasing Classic Cars* show.
On Father's Day, the Concorso Ferrari was held at the State Capitol in Hartford; pretty setting for the grand event. For some reason, they moved it to West Hartford.

Can't afford a Ferrari Enzo. Maybe just a trim from Enzo the barber.

We used to see these occasionally on Highway 1 north of Da Nang.

Traction Avant, a great, innovative, very long-lived car as well. That is the predecessor to the DS, produced from the 30’s until 1956.

My current cars:
2013 Audi S6 V8 Twin Turbo 0-60 3.7 sec.
2013 Mercedes C300 4-matic, long distance beater car.
1998 Toyota 4-Runner, dog hauler, firewood hauler.
What I am looking at:
McLaren 570S
Ferrari 488
Lamborghini Huracan
Mercedes AMG GTS
What I would really like is a Ford GT40, 1960’s, but out of my price range.

I saw my first Citroen SM Maserati in the wild, up in the mountains of North Carolina, driven by Burt Reynolds believe it or not. He had a summer home up there near Highlands, unbeknownst to me. Fell in love with the area while filming Deliverance.

Herb Chambers, a huge car dealership mogul in New England, had one of the first McLarens in the USA. He took me for a spin in it. My teeth are still rattling.

I'd be happy to just have the two most beautiful cars ever built in my garage.
Most beautiful racer ever - Jaguar C-type.
Most beautiful road car ever - late '30s Packard Darrin.
To: Eric Pode of Croydon
Those are two excellent choices!

Very cool. I’ve never seen one. I’ve seen a few DS’s, and my folks had a 2CV.
