I thought what Halsey did with her hair was horrible.
Johnny and Bob Hope could make people laugh without putting someone down. And laugh at themselves too. They had class.

I think it has more to do with the way viewership is measured. The days of sitting down and watching a program from beginning to end at the time it airs, particularly among younger viewers is quickly becoming s thing of the past.
People these days are more likely to watch On-Demand or, for a show like this with a lot of boring parts, just the highlights from Youtube.
Rock ‘N Roll’s been going downhill ever since Buddy Holly died.
I used to enjoy the Tony Awards, but will not be watching anytime soon.
TV Ratings Sunday: American Music Awards stumble to all-time low
Who listens to the crap that only sounds good to those in the garage where they came from. Generally just noise.
Who watches these infantile, low-talent dregs of American society who crave the spotlight on their worthless lives? If they disappeared today, the nation would not care.
not me, no talent.
Other than my talk radio and Bible programs, I prefer quiet. In the house and in the car. Is that a sign of encroaching old age!?! LOL. The upside: no award shows for quiet!!!
But yes, music is increasingly sounding like discordant noise.
The music was atrocious. Turned it off after 5 minutes
You know when the talent is bad when these “artists” are all “new”. They are basically one hit wonders without serious competition. Even their “superstars” like Lady Gag have a hard time with decent follow-up albums.
It used to be said that music soothed the savage beast but today’s music actually creates the savage beast.
Does China own The American Music Awards ?
Not interested in watching them bash Melania.
I saw ratings for a show called Bob’s Burgers.
Is that what it sounds like, a cooking show?
Bob’s Burgers is a cartoon comedy show similar to The Simpsons and Family Guy with less class and dignity. Well maybe not less than Family Guy.
Get politics out of entertainment and entertainment out of politics. Ummmmmkay?
You couldn’t pay me to watch this crap
That’s funny.
I bought a higher end car about four years ago -used, but mint - and it was the first one I’ve bought that has a CD player. But I stream my tunes to the car now, so I had to buy an aftermarket Bluetooth device! So by the time I got a CD player, they were basically obsolete.
Figures.
Cheers,
Jim
It originally was a Dick Clark creation. I think he owned it until he passed away but not sure if it is still run by Dick Clark Enterprises or not. Or who took over on his death.
