Outrageous statements that he said yesterday in Athens, he is repeating again in Berlin:
- hey, polls show the American people think I did a "pretty good job!"
- we have to beware of "crude nationalism"
- some benighted people in America and Europe "feel threatened" by change that is good - but they simply don't understand it
- since they "don't understand" the new world order and have been fed "propaganda," they resort to "crude nationalism" [again], and racial, ethnic and "tribe" identification.
Oh, and he wants to contrast the elevated "pride and patriotism" HE feels with the lowly, crude patriotism of others ... presumably those who voted for Trump.
It’s going to be interesting starting in January when he emerges from the cocoon he has been immersed in for the past seven-plus years. Jarrett has been very careful to keep him blissfully ignorant of things he doesn’t like to hear or read. He may find out what America really thinks of him.
