It’s hard to drain the swamp when the discharge is back into the swamp.
LOL! He will do what he deems best and the peanut gallery that fears he will actually put competent folks, who want to work for the People, in place scares them to death. Funny how they didn’t worry when Obama surrounded himself with terrorist (and illegals) loving America haters...
Trump wouldn’t be a billionaire if he didn’t know how to make good hiring decisions. He showed us that from the very beginning by choosing. Mike Pence.
I’m not worried.
Did Peggy Noonan support Trump? I don’t remember seeing any such thing.
So now she wants to ‘give advice’ to president-elect Trump. just like all those coastal NeverTrump crowd trying to insinuate themselves into the Trump circle.
Riiiiight. I have suggestions on how to deal with all the concerned trolls......
They all hope they can talk Trump into being Bush.
The problem with the recommended known quantities is what they are known for.
I want Trump for vision, but experience for process. I love having Pence for process (and vision). But Pence can’t do it alone. Whether it’s using the current process toward a new vision or changing the process, you need people who understand what DC is now.
It’s a matter of Trump picking people who will accept his vision rather than try to implement their own behind his back. All things being equal I prefer an outsider but I trust Trump on putting the right people around him.
I want people who understand DC enough to say “no because...” yet who will follow completely if his response to that is sometimes “I don’t care, do it now” or other times “put the process/relationships in place to do it soon” or “lets talk about it again in 6 months”. Trump needs insiders to make those types of decisions. He really needs insiders when he wants to do something DC isn’t ready for. Kind of like when your company gets bought but the new owner keeps your execs/management around for a while because they know how things work and who the important people are sometimes down to the janitors.
And, as the campaign managers show, Trump is not afraid to change who is around him. And the changes didn’t result in bad feelings from those let go. As process becomes less important he will be able to swap out process experience for vision. Process will become less of an issue when his full administration (cabinet to receptionists) gets into a routine, and builds relationships with each other and the rest of DC, and as the rest of DC understands what to expect. Blowing up process right now (or even learning as you try to follow it) is a great way to slow down trust and spend a lot time effort to get nothing done.
I guess the media didn’t get the memo. The media is no relevant anymore. Zero Credibility.
The battle of Serenity Valley...
No Peggy - Trump needs to go with his gut and his experience. Find the best people for the job. Some will be from DC... many will NOT be from DC.
We trust Trump... we don’t trust DC elites ... he’ll know what needs to be done...
