commander person = commandant
attending person = attendant
defending person = defendant
incarcerated person = incarcerant?
Then DOJ types will have to come up with a new term. A new word to wash away the filth of the old word. That effort will fail also.
If criminals were called 'God's Gifts to Mankind' in twenty years that term would be offensive too. It's NOT the word that's the problem - it's the people who do crimes that are offensive - offensive to the rest of us. And that will never change.
People who rob others, hurt the innocent, steal or rape will NEVER have "a word" that won't become 'dirty' over time. The DOJ should stick with the words they have now...
What needs to change are the ways criminals ACT not what they're called.
Soooooooooooo....
Guests?
Call them what the IRS calls taxpayers: “customers”. (It’s true!)
“Outward Mobility Challenged Persons”
The people making these decisions are morons, fools, idiots. They should be immediately fired and replaced with folks who have a brain, a keen sense of justice, and can work both together.
So the vile scum of society have their government subsidized safe space while we the people constantly have our life, liberty and property vilolated and police are assassinated. This administration starting with Obama, and as Clinton continues, have nothing but contempt and loathing for Americans with their childish name calling. I hate liberals.
This is being done for the future prisoners obama and the Clintons etc.
We mostly called them inmates as far back as I remember. The doctors and nurses called them patients. The SAP (substance abuse program) instructors called them clients, but I didn't know that, until two instructors came to my cell block, and told me they needed to see some clients. I said, clients? You mean inmates?
The most PC thing I saw, was when they changed the department from CDC to CDCR. That was PC.
In Ayn Rand's Anthem the word "I" didn't exist for the characters, not that they needed one, being part of the collective, and all. They didn't even have names...just numbers, if I remember correctly.
Coming soon to a republic near you.
Why not call them - ‘Gray Bar Motel guests’ or ‘Stupid Criminals’?
