Religious faith and spiritual life.
You don’t want to show up in the Next World and make your Loved Ones weep for you.
I am guessing you are having a sort of long term difficulty in adjusting to America — something like a fish out of water. At first you have a lot of energy and try hard, but eventually exhaustion can set in. Depending on what sort of employment you can find, where you are located, if you have family around, and so on, it can be quite difficult. And even if things are seemingly going well, simply being homesick can wear one down. I know a little of this, as my wife is a Filipina, with many friends and some family (even some she knew well in the Philippines) here. I’ve also known quite a few Chinese here, and gotten to know some Chinese in China, too: The transition for a Filipino or Filipina would for most individuals be much easier than for a Chinese, again especially in certain circumstances.
My Mom’s church had a very successful outreach program for Chinese students at the local University. Perhaps you can find something like that. I would guess that there are also Chinese-American “help” organizations, and even if you are in a rural area, you might be able to find such organizations online.
And last... this may not help (cultural differences), but in my own darkest times, this was a song that really helped me get through:
Thunder and lightning is striking you down
And you feel in your head there’s no one around
You count the troubles standing in your way
Look outside, it’s a brand new day
You’ll know the moment, you’ll know the sign
There won’t be a mountain that you can’t climb
You’ll know what it is when it comes inside
Could be anytime, in the day or night
Get up, get up, get back on your feet
Bang the drum and start the beat
Get out, get out, get out of your seat
Dance away your troubles out on the street
It’s your turn to break out; it’s your turn to win
It’s your turn to take out: all you put in
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
You look up; don’t you look down
Take a walk on higher ground
I want you to know and to understand
That there’s a time for every man
Get up, get up, get back on your feet
Bang the drum and start the beat
Get out, get out, get out of your seat
Dance away your troubles out on the street
You hit the ground and you pay the price
It’s your turn to fly, your turn to roll the dice
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Hey... (Hey...)
Oh... (Oh...)
Hey, you, walking the street
(Your time is gonna come)
You with the blues, get out of your seat
(Your time is gonna come)
Hey, you, with the hurt in your life
(Your time is gonna come)
You with the pain that cuts like a knife
(Your time is gonna come)
Get up, get up, get back on your feet
Bang the drum and start the beat
Get out, get out, get out of your seat
Dance away your troubles out on the street
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Your time is gonna come
Hey... (Hey...)
Oh... (Oh...)
Your time is gonna come!

“Your Time Is Gonna Come” (Russ Ballard)

(Ok, I didn’t actually dance in the street, but I sang along in my car with my fist in the air, to this song, and Ballard’s “Dream On”, many a time!)
God Bless you, and know that there are many people here who will say a prayer and are pulling for you.
Welcome!
Are you still painting?
I don’t remember: are you an architect?
