There’s gotta be a parable in here somewhere.

All heart and no head problem with Disney resort. This illustrates a bit more than just the problem misguided a human judgement can be with animal control in an amusement park.
I wonder how many Alligators got shot around Disney because they are now fearless around humans.

Does it matter how many were shot there is no shortage of gators now.

Exactly. Reading between the lines, I see this article trying to make the case for a billion dollar lawsuit against Disney. Normally I’d be against it, but I hate Disney enough that I wouldn’t mind it.

What the hell does skin color have to do with this story?

Today, all stories involve skin color. It is 0bama’s true legacy.

many tourists came forward with their own stories of alligator sightings at Disney. One employee at the resort said at the time there was a problem with guests feeding the animals. My guess is that some of these people have seen too many Disney animated features with wild animals singing and dancing and acting like people. When they encountered a real alligator, they confused fantasy with reality and thought these creatures were harmless.
To: BenLurkin
Cause it seems to be the flavor of the month in respect to who gets what compensation.
Why even do this story?? I will bet you now there will be a big thing with the FD and feeding animals.
This story to me is just as useful as stories about speed and traffic deaths.
I am leery of ANY news story that seems to have some sort of tentacles to why this happened. Trying to put a HUMAN face to why this child died.
To: BenLurkin
That is hardly the point. No warning signs!

Those that ignore what is happening are encouraging it and making it worse.

The firefighters should have known better. Yep. I can understand how out of town tourists, people who dont live in gator country might not understand the danger of feeding gators, even with warnings signs, but certainly, presumably locals like these firefighters should know better.
To: sarasota
Actually, it is worse than no warning signs. Disney set a trap for naive tourists , and it worked.
They designed and built white sand beaches on the brackish, backwater lagoons as part of their hotel layout (alligator habitat anywhere in Fla.). It is a sand beach, complete with lounge chairs and beach umbrellas! It just screams “swim here”.

Look FRiend, there are lots of threads about race here. Lots.
Comment on those and you are contributing. Bring race into topics which are entirely unrelated and you are trolling.
