See? They need my weather station...barometer, storm glass, Galileo, and arthritis. An unbeatable weather forecasting combination! ;o])
It’s still raining here. We’re going to the gym.
DP has delegated to Bill the restoration of the groceries to the refrigerator. Words fail me as I attempt to convey what a bad idea I consider this to be.
Wellnow. That little chore of Bill’s sounds like a recipe for disaster of some sort. I would hide and watch but I’m afraid I may never recover. LOL!
Please, by all means, keep us informed as to the eventual outcome of this Bad Idea. (Are you sure DP hasn’t been in secret negotiations with Darksheare?)
Snow has been officially postponed until 1 PM
Aaaannnnd it’s snowing...
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I think I need to move to Reno and apply for a job as a weather fore-gnosticator.
Snow? In the Sierras? In January? Don’t that just beat all? *she asks with incredulity*
This has been “a morning.”
The clothes are hung up, and I did a little revamping of the linen closet, thinking I could make room for another tub (I can’t, unless I put it on the floor,) and that started an entire series of busy-work things.
I made another hanging file frame and took some files out of the top drawer, placing them in the bottom file so the former isn’t so heavy and squished. They’re about even, now.
Right after that, I needed my calculator for some things and couldn’t find my phone. What th...? So I got the trusty ‘Bama Fone and called me. hahaha. It was in the bottom file, “somewhere!” So I called me again and found the fone in the file folder marked “dividers.”
The keyboard tray was being used for several things, which now have to be rearranged and replaced. The bigger desk is sounding so much better to me! Dang!
The dishes are waiting for me, and I am NOT going out in this ugly, cold wind again. 41 degrees, 58% and S @ 24 mph, which makes it feel like 29 degrees, according to my chart. *shiver*
My washer has arrived. I will love it and hug it and kiss it and get up at night to sing to it.
It turned out that Bill didn’t get around to putting the groceries back. I did it while he was still eating breakfast. One of his tools for life is to wait until someone else does any task, and then say, “I was going to!”
And I will send good feelings in the general direction of your new washer, to make sure the hugging, kissing, loving and singing are all doing the proper job, and the washer feels loved enough to want to stay!
And did the company that provided the new washer also provide the proper removal of the remains of the old washer? I hope so!
I just finished packing a box with most of my plate collection in it, except for the largest platter. I need the next size larger box, and some better tape. I don’t think the tape I have is going to be hefty enough for the book boxes.
But I’m now at the point where I have to begin making choices on what I’ll do with the money that I have left. There is still gas for the truck, another haircut, and food, not to mention three prescriptions that need to be picked up, and ink for the printer. Them can wait until Saturday, I think. By then, I should have a better idea of what is left to spend for more moving supplies. At this rate, it will be a supplies that I get all the packing done. :o|
Maybe tomorrow, I can pack a couple of book boxes. That would be fun. She muses...
And the Elusive Bill managed to finesse his dad’s request so that his mother did the actual implementing of said request.
He needs another award, but I’m darned if I know what to call it. :oO
What worries me is the FlockBlock.
The crumbs of the last one attracted a score or more of quail, and perhaps a dozen dove.
Put the new one out yesterday morning and haven’t seen a single boid.
Boids ill for the weather...
Future Community Organizer Medal?
Well, there’s a start, but really, you’d have to meet Bill to get the subtlety of the “Elusive” title. Of course, if he were only “found,” he could be an Elusive Male Model. And we could then add, “The Reclusive, Elusive Male Model.”
I’m still wondering how he will survive when he moves out of his mother’s basement. If she had a basement. </joke
I was doing so well...now my eyelids are threatening to slam shut with me still sitting here.
Maybe I’ll go have another breathing treatment; that ought to wake me up. Or better yet, maybe I should go try to sweep the leaves off the patio. NOT!
The same "I coulda been a contendah" skill set as employed by the outgoing Section 8 tenants of 1600 Peenn. Ave.
;>)
When I’m really annoyed with the Offspring, I tell them, “You’re going to be a Democrat when you grow up!”
LOL!
LOL! And it won’t be your fault! :o])
I’m fading fast. I was going to make a journal entry, but I may bypass that. Right now, I need something to eat, so I’ll be here for a bit.
I’ve been watching a video of Joe Boyd (I think SG recommended him) talking about Genesis. I am far from unfamiliar with Genesis, but he’s made some points I haven’t heard or thought of before, and he’s very amusing.
