The serious audio voiceover, the horrifying photo or graphic, the intense music and the presenter’s serious facial expression all trigger a gut reaction that explodes in my psyche. The cumulative effect of this is depression. If I’m reading something, I can quickly recognize the emotionally laden adverbs and over-the-top hyperbole and skip to the next article without any gut reaction.

I disagree with the hate speech angle. After all, that whole process is all about criminalizing thought and such like.
What I think should happen is that the confidence game playing scumbags should be arrested, tried and convicted of a separate count of grand larceny for every gov grant they’ve swindled in this crap.

I have to laugh at liberals and their continuing attempt to find a suitable label. They don't like the terms, "liberal", or "leftist" so they have now stupidly settled on "progressive".
I ax...what is "progressive" about the failed political and economic ideas of the 1920's and 30's??
Recently (last week or so) a thread on FR stated that NOAA and NASA have suggested the use of the terms “climate crises” and “climate emergency” in place of the term “climate change”. Both “NASA” and “NOAA” were in the thread title, but I have been unable to find it. The article to that thread will show the effort to change the terminology. Evidently I am too much of a ludite to properly use FR’s search engine.

Perhaps you would have better luck finding the FR thread than I. I think it will show exactly why we suddenly see everyone claiming these new “climate emergencies”
