We have millions of tons of free canned food we supply the illegals here, so divert it to Venezuela as a good gesture.
IIRC, ome of the prominent escapees from the Nork camps said that the drive that led him out was to ‘eat meat’. I can’t even imagine the horror in those camps.
Puerto Rico never had an issue with not enough money, they had an issue with too much embezzlement and too many financial companies who piled on to see how much they too could embezzle from the territory as well. You need to refinance your debt? Simply pay us 5% of the debt, and we’ll get that done for you. Oh, and you’ll have to pay 8% interest to those we sell the debt to, ‘cause you’re risky.
The finance companies already got their part of the pie, Puerto Rico’s lenders priced in default when they charged 8% interest, so give them the default they charged for.
Wipe the slate clean and discard any further attempts to spend future budgets with current obligations.

i would imagine that there is plenty of food being thrown out in many california restaurants,,,why not just put it on trucks, and send it there

I was thinking about this a few days ago, I see little hope they won’t resort to cannibalism before long. I’m very surprised Obama hasn’t started shipping in gazillions of dollars worth of food and calling it “humanitarian aid” already. I thought by this point he’d do almost anything to rescue his reputation...
