Meh, I go both ways.
I really prefer controllers to keyboards and my 50” TV to my laptop.
Arkham Asylum proved that you could make a great Batman game. If the PS4 someday allows backward compatibility, I would highly recommend the three previous games.
I prefer a controller with Elder Scrolls actually, I can’t do all of the rotating and running around for swordfights on a keyboard/mouse. I just use a 360 controller with my PC. And I have a 50” Bravia for a monitor. :P
Same exact thing. I completed about 90% of the side missions before finding Virgil. I spent twenty minutes talking to Father and his scientists with no end in sight.
Yeah, keyboards were fine 25 years ago when I was playing the D&D gold box games, Bard’s Tale and Star Flight.
It’s much easier with a controller, plus you can sit, stand and walk around if your cable is long enough. My wife always laughs when I am physically moving to see around a virtual corner. :)
Yes it is. One of the many pleasures of modding.
My 18-yr old son basically mods a game until it breaks (e.g. a hundred or more mods) then he bitches about how the game sucks, reinstalls, and starts the process over again.
Both of us are PC-gamers.
I’m 48, but I am more nuanced when I mod. I think the most I ever do with something like Skyrim or Fallout is maybe 10 mods.
For example, I installed mods to Fallout 3 to make Moriarty’s bar into a strip club with pole dancers, and had all the various nude and X-rated mods installed, along with various weapons mods, such as suppressed M4’s with EoTech sights.
My Fallout 3 character is a pimp and has about a dozen prostitutes working for him bringing in money, carries a green lightsaber, and wears a Kirk-style yellow Star Trek shirt, and is typically escorted by about 15 original-series Starfleet officers in red, yellow and blue, carrying Star Trek phasers.
In Skyrim, my character has 4 wives (multiple wives is a mod) in 3 different homes, one in a home from a mod.
Sweet. I don’t have any money but if I ever do, I might buy it just so I can do that, lol. Is that Fallout 4?
My son does the same thing, usually crashing his computer.
I prefer mods that add to the immersion experience, such as area and quest mods.
I liked Arkham Knight but I hit a wall trying to do that tunnel chase/battle with the Knight in the Excavator. Pain in the ass. I’m going to give it another try, though. Sometimes when I hit a wall or a seemingly insurmountable foe, I give it a rest for a bit and come back to it and beat it. Then wonder why I found it so hard to begin with.
A little too much jet and psycho mixed with buffout, Mama.
Yes it is. Fallout 4 already has a lot of customization out of the box and Bethesda has already released two official mods, (DLC); with more on the way.
Cool! What is the recommended platform? (not that I can afford it - I think I have about $2.10 in the bank right now). But I keep hearing the economy is wonderful.
In order of how well the software performs: PC - Xbox One - PS4. The PC and Xbox share a similar architecture.
Thanks for the info. Well, while one of my PC’s is down a lot (unknown issue) I’ve got a couple of laptops including this one. Someday, maybe I can check it out.
I’m late 50’s and have played Skyrim on PC and XBOX360. I haven’t gotten into the Fallout4 world though.
"We are the Mods...We are the Mods...We are...We are...We are the Mods."
I also played FO3 before that.
I can't effectively manipulate the keyboard enough to keep from getting killed off..... sooooo I use God Mode, and play for the exploration/settlement building part of the game.
I really like the MODs stuff. Lots of creative Modders out there.
