I have been following politics since working on the Goldwater campaign as a kid. This has been unlike any other election cycle and I’m still trying to figure it out.
The true conservative in the race is Cruz but there is just something about Trump that has made many conservatives care more about Trump’s nationalism than conservative values. Many people believe that the country is about to be past the point of no return and only Trump has a chance to change it.
Trump showed early that he had the balls to go after Hillary. He actually went after Bill as sexual predator. We have been waiting for someone to do that for many years. I hope Trump will bring up Mena and cocaine and finally destroy the Clinton legacy. And if anyone would ever dare talk about Bill’s half black son, it is Trump. No one else would ever do it.
Building a wall drives the left crazy. Protecting us from Islamic invasion and terrorists drives the left crazy. Attacking the media drives the left crazy.
Trump supporters hope his business instincts will translate to choosing great advisers who will help make the country work again.
It might be a minor issue to many, but it should be a big issue. He is saying the word Christmas unashamedly and refuses to kowtow to the PC police.
Mr. Trump had a very good night in his home state. Although it was expected, his take of the delegates was quite impressive. I was surprised at the total vote however with less than a million votes cast in the republican primary.
The 60% winning total was only around 520 thousand which resulted in 89 delegates while the winning total in the much less populated state of Wisconsin was over 530 thousand and resulted in only 36 delegates. I guess it is a good thing we don’t go by popular vote.
Inspiring speech.
LOL, your posts are comedy gold.
LOL he can’t even make a speech without lying in the first 25 seconds. Trump is an outsider not a politician. Ted Cruz is the politician and not the outside. Is it any wonder that people mistrust Ted Cruz?
Very good.
Who's dumb enough to believe that??? That's why Cruz is doing so badly with the public vote...The Party is what's shafting the people...We don't want to unite it, we want to change it...We don't even need the Party Cruz thinks we need to embrace...
We will restore our spirit; We will free our minds and imagination; We will create a new and better world; We will bring back jobs, freedom, and security; We will find new ways to ignite an energy revolution with more jobs and greater choices
Sorry Ted...While you are stumbling around hoping to find solutions to America's problems Trump has already proposed the solutions and they sound a far sight better than what you fail to propose...
Ronald Reagan and Jack Kennedy were outsiders.
Here we go with political correctness...Not many people know John F. Kennedy by Jack...Gotta show us some of that intellect he has...
That was a stirring speech and I can see why Cruz supporters could be so enthusiastic for him even now.
The last time some junior Senator whose supporters claimed he was the Messiah and was a Harvard lawyer with a questionable citizenship talked like that we got Obama. Different party, same attitude.
“Owned the night”? “The vibe of history”? Please don’t make me laugh before bedtime. It makes it so much harder to get to sleep.
Ted Cruz is an empty suit....and a horrible one at that!!! Come next Tuesday evening, this poster the fools that support this low life human being, Ted Cruz will learn first hand, that Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania & Delaware are a mirror of New York State, as Trump wins them all!!! Like it or not folks.....Ted Cruz and, John Kasich are toast....no....seious burnt toast!!! I hate to say I told you so....but I told you all so many times, you were throwing your votes away, when you cast them for either Ted Cruz or, John Kasich!!! And.....the GOP Establishment died, politically last evening. God bless, Donald J. Trump, the next POTUS of the American Republic!!! GO DONALD J. TRUMP!!!
“Someone is not electable if he can’t get elected,” Ted Cruz....
Being an insider in a fight with other insiders does not make you an outsider.
I didn’t read a word of the transcript, but the title is hilarious.
Your beady eyes darting from one side to the other, while you try to follow the bouncing red light on the three teleprompters, make you look, ...well, sneaky and smarmy.
Actually, upon reflection, I concede that sneaky and smarmy is a look you have been perfecting for months.
So then, let me make a different point, lest this "insider" post be wasted: Inspirational, once in a hundred years, type speeches are best delivered to a crowd of a thousand or more. At the very least, have the 22 people in attendance clap once during such an historical, moving diatribe.
with cruz, every day is another st crispins day speech audition...
