I think it was for Fun, Fun, Fun.
[Chorus:]
I'm so glad
I'm so glad
I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm gladDon't know what to do
Don't know what to do
Don't know what to doTired of weeping
Tired of moaning
Tired of groaning for you
[Chorus]Tired of weeping
Tired of moaning
Tired of groaning for you[Chorus: x8]

That’s a good description. Love’s music hasn’t worn as well as Spirit, which still sounds good.
The Byrds were another LA band from the 60s. Don’t know how I could have omitted them seeing as they were my favorite. So many great musicians from that time, I just assumed that was natural.
My pick for most underrated album by an L.A.-based band is the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo. But it was heavily influenced by Georgia-boy Gram Parsons (who joined the band for that one album), so it's not pure L.A.
Parsons and Chris Hillman then formed the Flying Burrito Brothers and released The Gilded Palace of Sin, another underrated classic. Also gotta mention Parsons' solo masterpieces GP and Grievous Angel.
I'd also put Sly Stone's There's a Riot Going On in the same category. That is one brilliantly dark record. Sly went downhill after that.
Funny, I’ve been wearing out Sweetheart of the Rodeo for the last few days. That, and Younger Than Yesterday. Hillman’s “Time Between” from that album is distinctly country rock.
The Flying Burrito Brothers played at my high school grad night in 1969. I regret that I didn’t pay them more attention.
Not to bad. We had Redbone play at our high school in the early 1970s. Also in a little place down the road in Vineland,NJ I went to a Buzzy Linhart concert. Must have been dozens of people there!
You lucky dog. Best we got at our HS during my senior year ('82) was Oingo Boingo. I think that might've been on our grad night as well. ...or close to it. Foggy memory of those times.
Wish I still had my vinyl collection. To build it back up again would cost a fortune at today's prices. ...now that it's in vogue again.
Hey, Oingo Boingo is nothing to sniff at! Some pretty good music from that outfit. And at least one early movie credit-

I don’t miss my vinyl collection. Man vs Dust Pops was never a fair fight. I do miss album art greatly.
This is the Redbone I remember, probably not the same one...

Pachelbel is following me. Punk music is a joke, its really all baroque.
LOL!
Boingo was an entertaining and multi-talented outfit, for sure. Reinvented themselves several times.
Kept my vinyl in good shape by recording it right after purchase. Then when I wore out the tapes, I’d do it again.
Prefer the sound of vinyl to CD. (I kept around 50 records). Sounds warmer, more natural. At least with good gear.
That was hilarious!
The guy has over 13 million views on that. Amazing.
Only AFTER it was brought up.
I thought all Cream songs were stolen from George Harrison.
I agree with you on In Through The Out Door, All Of My Love is one of my favorites LZ songs.
Although my other LZ favorites are Kashmir and The Battle Of Evermore.
I also like Robert Plants collaborations with Allison Krauss a bit of a musical departure for both of them.
