Drudge is most likely gay, and I have a hard time believing that someone can be both gay and conservative.

Also people hate him now because he appears to be supporting one Republican candidate over the other and so he's caught up in the Trump v. Cruz battles in the conservative debate-o-sphere.

I hit several of them. Red State is not a Drudge substitute but is Cruz friendly and has rational commentary. It is good to get one’s news from multiple sources these days.

The Right Scoop is my go-to site these days. I also pick individual reporters and follow them on Twitter. In the past few years, I’ve noticed Drudge becoming more sensationalistic and linking to dubious conspiracy sites. He’s no longer useful to me.
