If I want to see a contradictory claim about PP every day, all I have to do is read the supposedly well informed FR.
It’s like PP has become such a frightening monster that we can’t even figure out what it’s really doing, or something.
We need to be careful; PP has a front of spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6 tactics apply. If the belt of truth is needed with which to keep fighting garments on, a lot of FReepers have their pants down around their ankles, it seems, with regards to PP.
I don’t know the actual data, but I do know the whole affair (abortions and far more) came about as the brainchild of Margaret Sanger. She was no family friendly lady.

Personally I get the picture, whenever I have seen actual sourced data, that abortion is in increasing trouble. The baby parts sub-industry seems to be intended to try to keep it afloat and to give it some kind of legitimacy cover. I suggest we also should realize that it’s by far the worst part of Margaret Sanger’s legacy and it makes sense to concentrate on it first. Leave the jock itch clinics alone. They are the pea shooters in a war where abortion is nuclear bombs. If abortion is aborted as culturally acceptable once more, it will be forced into phone booths by mere issues of scale. Roe v. Wade didn’t so much create a problem as to uncover one in its full ugliness. What we know now as abortion cases used to be known as abandoned/neglected child and child abuse cases, and great progress is now being made on that front. Increase the scope of those ministries to deal pro-actively with parent issues, and abortion — the problem of hating your children so much you wish they were gone — will also dwindle.

We have FReepers from Utah who inform us that their Planned Parenthood facilities perform exactly ZERO abortions. And they DO provide actual healthcare for women — “wonderful things”.
Don’t accuse me of being pro-abortion, ‘cause I’m not. The money DH and I donated to our former city’s pro-choice Women’s Resource Center could feed a small country for a year. I’m just giving info on this particular post.

This is sort of what I figured. We need to get over these scary devils that keep on dancing around as though it were yesteryear. Devils tell lies by definition and they are tricky. If they can get us to think the battle hasn’t progressed, that will tempt us to lose our courage.

OK, an older article, 1 data point, wild discrepancy between what PP and STOPP say, so wild one could wonder if there is some unstated condition, some unexplained elephant in the room. I just don’t get huge vibes of reliability, only two agencies both saying “trust us” and caring little about truth and facts because they both want to project an image.

Probably all he “knows” is second-hand.
I think I’ll just leave it up to Sessions or Palin or some other of his more knowledgeable ones to educate him.
That is to wince at all right, although to be fair, in the gospel discourses Jesus is known to have used examples of things that were immoral or outrageous as examples of gospel principles.
China strong (at least of the Tiananmen era) stank; US strong usually smelled pretty good. And it should stay that way.
And to buy a field in order to get a pearl that is in it, without telling the owner, sounds like a classic case of unjust enrichment. But someone forgot to tell that to the author of the gospel. Maybe He didn’t care! He knew that those who would get the point would get it, and those that caviled were already looking for trouble.
I would think the point Trump might have wanted to make, is that US power when needed should be astounding. Shock and awe, as was put in another era. Not that it should be unprincipled as in Tienanmen.
Oh good gosh. Trump is right - PP clinics do have some good services for women. If they didn’t do abortions and sell baby parts there would be no issues with them. We must not condone baby killing with taxpayer money - Trump says he will defund them if they don’t stop doing abortions (which they claim is only 3% of their business so it shouldn’t be a big deal for them) which, like so many of Trump’s pronouncements, exposes the PP people as the evil lying hypocrites they are. So he’s giving them a length of rope to hang themselves with - what’s wrong with that?
