Nobody leaves them all over the parking lot around here. Are folks in your vicinity raised in a barn?
CC processing just isn’t that expensive vs handling checks or cash
And I kinda love that there are Aldi snobs~! Stay away and leave the good stuff to us. I’d hate for Aldi to get too big. Bye bye.........
I’d expect people raised in barns to be more civilized. This is due to those coming in from cities.
YAY! Stay away.
Good! Stay away.
Uh, okay........
I have two almost adult teens who eat me out of house and home even if I do wally world for my shopping. I can buy five straight nights of meals that fill their bottomless pits (and it’s not “junk”) for 70 bucks. That would also include some (not so healthy) off market pop-tarts and cereals along with the milk, etc..Thank God they are in my area because I have noticed a serious uptick in my savings as a result.
LOL.
Yes, I did. At work.
I freakin’ love Aldi...!
The prices on miscellaneous hardware/houseware gadgets can’t be beat.
Paid $4.99 for foo-foo bread at a leading chain.
Aldi’s foo-foo bread is $1.79.
I freakin’ love Aldi...!
We do very well with Aldi. We have a large family and some food allergies and have saved a ton shopping there. I like the european stuff. Kinda exotic for the kids. The goat cheese and spinach pizza is the BEST. Don’t knock it until you try it, but try it!
Thanks; I’ll have to sneak it in on my critters some evening
We have a brand new Aldi’s just up the street. We now do most of our shopping there the products are great and the prices are really low. And most stuff is made in the USA, Canada or Germany.
That quarter for cart "rental" is one of the most brilliant management ideas I've seen in retail stores. The carts are returned to their storage for free, without hiring some kid to retrieve them while sliding the line of 30 carts sideways thereby grinding flat spots on the wheels.
No carts in the parking lot rolling into the side of your car. Shoppers who have just unloaded their carts smiling to incoming shoppers and saying, "Low mileage cart, only $0.25!" Or "Free, just take it."
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Aldi offers European food I like, such as German knockwurst and black forest ham. They also sell local produce at a good price. Lots of European-style bread, too.
Get it now before Europe collapses.
I like going there because fresh fruits and vegetables are usually cheaper as are baking ingredients - nuts, choc chips, flour, etc. Also it is small and quick to go thru. I don’t need two entire aisles floor to ceiling of cereal choices that are in my regular grocery store.
We live 1.5 hours away from the nearest Aldis, if I am near I will always stop. They are by far the best value market around, I have seen on numerous times people with multiple carts who have traveled significant distances to shop there. Try their 4 cheese risotto, it is made in Italy and the best box type I have had.
foo-foo bread? What is “foo-foo bread?”
I always had a good time shopping at Aldis when I lived in Dresden. BUT... You gotta get your bags filled quick because the angry checker would literally start pushing your goods on to the floor.
