My believe my Draft Status was 1-A when I signed up for Selective Service. I have to see if I can find my Draft Card.

They held the Lottery and my number came up 207. I don’t recall if they changed my Classification after that.

I was never even called up for a Physical, but I turned 18 in 1971 when the Vietnam Draft was winding down.

Well, before people pass judgment, maybe they should listen to Donald Trump JUNIOR.

Out of curiosity, I took the time to watch a video of a speech(with answered questions from audience), given by the JUNIOR.

I was actually very impressed. He talked more like Ted Cruz; very straight forward, no hedging, had complete answers and stated several times that, yes, his Dad was really going to do certain stuff.

All in all, I felt better about Trump; even though I still remain in support of Ted Cruz.

I understand your view, but there over 54,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and civilians killed in Southeast Asia. Not all of them had the financial influence to receive a 4-F deferment. Marching against the war like Sanders or the Clintons, act of treason like Jane Fonda are to me no different than buying a 4-F deferment.

Look I know you only know about Viet Nam by what your daddy told you. My draft lottery number was 213 which was so high I would never have been called. You have no idea what it was like back then. I will never forget, while we were still in high school, the short conversation in a good friend's driveway about what we would do if it came down to it.

A couple of years later I was married and laid off from my job so I enlisted. You are still far to young to say an act of treason like Jane Fonda's is no different than so called "buying" a 4-F deferment. Not even close.

This makes me wonder if this isn’t what most of these people are so worried about and why THEY are freaking out and throwing the kitchen sink at him. Do insider trading laws even apply to these people? I remember reading something about how Pelosi’s family knew things were coming so they would create a company run by family to bid on the government jobs. So it’s not their direct pocket getting greased but ..............No telling what this gang of ‘good ole boys’ have been up to. They are proving that Trump really is the outsider.

As in comparison to what the schools and unwitting parents are turning out these days - the ones that think winning is for losers because it's a bad thing to differentiate between winners and losers - that it's normal to have to Moms or Dads and that makes one special - that there's really no important difference between the sexes ....

I'd prefer to see some Trump in my child's attitude any day.

Falsely accusing someone of buying a 4-F exemption is serious slander and I hope her dad wouldn’t stoop to that. And then trying to wrap her accusation in the Vietnam dead.

Read the entire thread...I was not referring to Trump but the posters comment about his son emulating Trump’s rather sorted past. He (the poster) finds that type of behavour acceptable.
