Blah, blah, blah. Rambling screed.
“but I believe many Trump fans are well-meaning.”
What an arrogant, condescending prick. Has he ever had a real job in his life, or has he been ensconsed in academia his entire life? Jerk.
We don’t care what he or his elite ilk think. We want to destroy the GOP PTB in DC. Trump is the only one who can do that.
YOU can’t support him? Weeeeel, watch out for the doorknob.
Well! Here you are again posting more hate Trump stuff.
The only thing I can imagine is that you are either being paid by the GOPe organization by some means or you need some special help by professionals to treat your absolute hate for Trump.
Actually, I can envision you pouring through papers, magazines, listening to liberal TV stations, and a whole host of “hate Trump” spew that makes your life complete.
Or..........you are a paid “shill” for the Republican party.
You hatred and venomous spew is not normal for a sane person.
Senator Jeff Sessions would likely disagree. He did endorse Trump in front of 30,000+ people. I’m inclined to think a conservative lion like Session is right & this myriad of authors you bring to these forums almost daily crying out for voters to disavow Trump are spitting into a tornado.
Go Trump!!!
This Sissy guy better HOPE TO HELL that Trump loses. He may not have signed the pledge, but he’s more than close enough to those that did. One can only imagine how Trump will deal with him.
(and no, NSA, I have no clue - pure speculation)
Just what have these so-called “movement conservatives” ever conserved? All they do is flap their yaps, write long diatribes about this or that, and go to cocktail parties where they clink their glasses with their democrat “rivals.” They haven’t managed to stem the tide of the 3rd World invasion, matter of fact, most of these so-called “movement conservatives” support that invasion. Have they managed to turn back any of the social issues that they say they are so adamantly opposed to?
So, this a$$hat, can shove it.
My response: Senator Sasse, if you do one thing to support Hillary Clinton (either actively or passively), then you ARE what’s wrong with this government.
I liked the letter, and it makes several good points that should be addressed... and not one substantive response from the first fifty pro-Trump retorts here. Amazing.
Ben Sasse Defines a Conservative, and NAILS it.

All these replies and no one has addressed the content?
Telling. very telling
Good for you Ben. I can think for myself thank you.
From the COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS:
A Trump presidency threatens the post-World War II liberal international order that American presidents of both parties have so laboriously built up an order based on free trade and alliances with other democracies.

Proves what weve been saying. It is a Uniparty designed to usher in Unigovernment.
Another traitor in Congress.
We’re weeding them out !!! Thank you Trump !
Trump’s not perfect so let’s let Hillary Clinton win the election.
Screw that.
It’s over.
I don’t think Trump is the right guy.
But he is going to be the candidate.
If nothing else it will make the debate interesting.
The voice of yet another GOPe RINO. If our guy wins hold your nose and vote for him, if your guy wins screw you I’m staying home.
Okay we can play too, if the GOPe scams the primary we will stay home too.
Thanks for posting this today. This confirms the rumors we had been hearing, that Mitch McConnell had been telling Republican Senators that there was no expectation of them to support their party's nominee if he turns out to be someone other than who Mitch (fill in the sobriquet here) wanted.
God damn him, Mitch McConnell, to hell for supporting Hillary Clinton over his own party's nominee apparent, and Ben Sasse too for playing ball with him and demonstrating to all what a typical craven, venal, ambitious Republican senator looks like.
The two of them, Mitch and Ben Sasse, by this brazen gambit to split the Republican vote, are now supporting a woman who is (as all of us who have paid attention to what happened at Benghazi) guilty of treason and murder. What does that make them?
This thread reads like one from 2008 over at the DU, in support of Obama.
